January 2010 - November 2010
December 2010
We had a busy Holiday season at The Dog Pad baking treats for
Santa to deliver  to some lucky dogs. They obviously had been
nice and not naughty this past year. Or maybe mom and dad just
couldn't resist pampering their pooches.

The Dog Pad Holiday gift basket was very popular this Holiday
season, featuring a large carob and peanut butter bone, three
bags of assorted treats, and some baked, hand painted
Christmas ornaments. We heard from many of our furry friends
that the carob bone was
truly a treat!!
We also had some great news at the end of 2010. Lexi lost
weight and we were able to reduce her dose of both potassium
bromide and Phenobarbital. So far, Lexi has been seizure free
and is continuing to do very well. We are hoping to reduce her
weight by a couple more pounds in the coming months.
Aside from baking treats, Lexi also spent some time Christmas
shopping with mom. Lexi is great at picking out the gifts for
friends and family, but she leaves the wrapping to mom.
February 2011
The Dog Pad will be participating in the Annual
Canine Cancer Cure walk on February 19th in Walnut
Grove Park, San Marcos. This event benefits the
Morris Animal Foundation's Canine Cancer
Campaign and will contribute to the advancements in
the treatment of cancer in our canine friends.

The Dog Pad will have samples available for tasting
and a variety of treats that may be purchased among
other items.
2011 Canine Cancer Cure Walk
There was a great turn out for the Canine Cancer Cure event at Walnut Grove Park in
San Marcos. Despite the rainy, cold weather, our canine friends and families
showed up in boots and rain gear, ready to support the cause. The event was a
great success!! With all the donations, they were able to surpass the goal to raise
$15,000 and actually raised over $26,000. Great job everyone!!!
Many of our canine friends got to sample several of The Dog Pad treats and we
received many "paws up" from them. The Dog Pad variety packs were a big hit with
our canine friends at the event, so we have decided to offer a variety pack special
from now through April 1st. See
The Dog Pad Specials for more details.

We also had a lucky winner of The Dog Pad gift basket drawing, which included our
oversized carob bone...lucky dog!!!
March 2011
Lexi and Sasha celebrated their birthdays together this year. Sasha turned 1 year
February 12th and Lexi turned 6 years March 2nd. This year they decided to pick a
carrot cake with low-fat cream cheese frosting and carob paws for accents. Delish!!!
